How to enable "View Souce" option on secured (HTTPS) / encrypted pages in IE

Internet Explorer saves a lot of web site information and data in temporary files for faster retrieval in the future. For most web sites that isn't a problem, but saving encrypted web pages that should be secure to a temp file on your disk can pose a security risk. This tip will show you how to enable/disable the saving of encrypted web pages.

1. On the menu bar click on Tools and select Internet Options

2. Click on the Advanced tab

3. Scroll through the list to the Security section at the bottom

4. Uncheck the box next to the option "Do Not Save Encrypted Pages To Disk"

By default it is checked which disables the "View Source" option.

5. Click OK to close the window and initiate the changes

I.e. if "Do Not Save Encrypted Pages To Disk" is checked "View Source" option will be disabled when an encrypted page is rendered. To investigate the HTML output you have to uncheck the above mentioned option.
